Branches of Hope

All these branches, naked and bare now, in a few months' time will block out the sun.  For now, though, all we can do is wait and get our peek of the winter sky while we can.

It still amazes me, year after year, how a tree can grow such lush greenery from the barrenness of winter, as if by some slow, gradual old-time magic...
