Trying New Things

I've been doing a lot of experimentation in post-processing with Adobe Lightroom lately in preparation for a Shutter Sisters post coming up later this month.  The possibilities are endless.  I often choose to process a photo in a certain way depending on how the photo makes me feel and how I want to convey that mood in the image.  Normally, I prefer to process my photos with a high contrast, but this is actually one that I went back to and decided to change the processing on.  The chair had such a 50's vintage feel to it, and that was the effect I was going for.  You know how I'm a sucker for all things nostalgic.

In other news, Cadence has been all sniffly and snotty (in more ways than one) this week and hasn't been to school.  Hopefully, she'll be well enough to go back today.  I'm hoping I don't catch her cold, but I have a feeling it's too late.  I'm way too lax about sharing germs with her.
