This was taken last spring before the Lake.Half-Handed Cloud.Think/Dance Collective Extravaganza. Good times, good times. I like when photos remind me of events and/or feelings that are not really related to the photo itself. I guess I'm pretty die-hard nostalgic.

Another Reason I (Sometimes) Love the Rain

Taking photographs in the rain is so much fun.  Granted, I generally don't go out during a downpour, but a spring shower is perfect for a photoshoot.

Rain, Rain, It's Okay...

You would think that after the gorgeous day on Saturday, I'd be complaining about the rain we had yesterday.  Truth be told, however, I actually savored a little walk through the Waters Community Garden with my camera and umbrella.  Things are starting to grow there, and it's soul-satisfying to be in the midst of that with a gentle fall of rain adding to the sights and sounds of my surroundings.

I had my camera in a plastic ziploc bag to protect it, and I took a few shots through the wet plastic itself and I like the dreamy look that resulted.  I think I'm going to have to experiment more with improvised filters like this.
