Clothesline

There is so much we modern folks take for granted, things like washers and dryers for our clothes.  And while I appreciate the convenience technology has to offer, I have to wonder what it's done to make life more meaningful.  When I look at the clothesline on the farm--a clothesline that's actually used--I can't help feeling a nostalgic pull in my heart for a simpler time.

OK, I admit I read Hannah Coulter by Wendell Berry this week on my commute.  That book made me cry.
